After the success of the First World Congress on Stevia, many producers who come from classical agriculture (weath growing, sugar cane growing, sugar beet growing, tobacco growing…) wonder how they can switch to Stevia Growing.

 

All you need to know about this field will be showcased in Malta on October 29th, 2010.

-          What is Stevia?

-      Is it profitable to grow Stevia? (Yield, sustainability, perspective of productivity…)

-          How to get a sustainable Stevia growing?

-          How to switch to a sustainable exploitation?

-          Which are the most efficient technologies?

-          How to adapt the growing to climate

 

 

The aims of the Stevia Growing Symposium are:

 

  • To give an overall view to all people who wants to switch their culture (wheat growing, sugar cane growing, sugar beet growing, tobacco growing…) to Stevia growing (growing sustainability, yield, more efficient technologies…)
  • To provide answers concerning the economic and technological view
  • To allow breeders and/or cooperatives to form their opinion on Stevia Growing
  • To discuss about the development opportunity to emerging countries and developing countries
  • To promote exchange between industrial and growers

 

 

This symposium is dedicated to start up, tobacco growers, cereal farmers, wheat farmers, sugar beet farmers, sugar tree farmers, researcher and all other companies interested in Stevia growing.

 

The second part of the symposium gets onto the subject of emerging countries: new opportunity for development. Therefore ISANH will invite these countries to discuss about this main issue.
